We’re settling down nicely on my new host (domains.co.za) after the unfortunate problem with our previous Hosting. I am truly sorry about the outages and loss of business we all experienced during the month of April (for those clients that are hosted with me)
Now that I’ve dealt with that emergency, I am busy tackling another huge challenge, Google Analytics change of platform.
Those clients that are on my Maintenance and SEO plan, are aware that a key function I perform is tracking website data through Google Analytics, and for those who require it – weekly reporting on these stats. Google is now forcing a significant change on us, in moving to a new Analytics platform (technically speaking, from UA to GA4)
The implication of this change, which is being implemented in July 2023, is a completely new recording and reporting system, one that I am still busy learning. Scheduled reporting is no longer provided, which has been vital to me in keeping my clients updated regarding activity on your websites.
I am in the process of cutting over your data recording from the old system to the new system, and in the process, all reporting from the old system is being terminated. I do apologise for this. From July onwards, a new reporting method will be investigated, probably on a monthly basis, and probably manually, and will be fine-tuned as I go along.
For those clients not on my maintenance and SEO plan, and who would like to move to this plan and receive website traffic reports, please contact me with regards to an upgrade to your package.
